Yet another nice couple of hours on the water after work (well... left a little bit early). Thought it would be 9m weather but had eased by late afternoon so went with the 12 and it was the right choice. Really choppy further out with waves coming in several directions and 'peaking' all over the place. Knees took a bit of a pounding... All adds to the fun though... Steve came down too and was doing speed runs in the shallows so I did a bit of that too. Wind was perfect direction for buzzing along the shoreline in a few inches of water. (There go my new shiny fins.) Sun came out and there was even some entertainment in the form of a couple of female naturists that decided to go for a dip in the surf. I wonder if that is classed as wild open water swimming ? ...but I'm sure that isn't really why I then tripped over a wave and swallowed a ton of water during the resulting face plant... Sadly they didn't stay long - bit nippy without a wetsuit in the stiff breeze I expect. Not sure my legs can take another session tomorrow especially as Saturday is looking good too. But might just put a wetsuit in the car just in case.
